Can you make a decent web series that’s set in an elevator? The aptly name Elevator Stories is planning to find out, as long as it can raise enough cash via Kickstarter, where it’s hoping to make $36,000. It’s only got eight days left and still has a long way to go!
The show, which has a bisexual heroine, is a ‘comedic love story, based in the elevator of a NYC apartment building, between Ezabel (a fashionista, serial dater who is searching for “the one”) and Samantha (a struggling comic book artist) who moves into the building with her overbearing best friend, Bonnie. The series will delve into the lives and relationships between these characters, along with some of Ezabel’s many exes (Adam, Frank, and Tatiana) within the building. Each episode is based on a page out of Samantha’s comic book, which will feature the aforementioned characters.’
The makers are also keen to point out that it is, ‘created and written by multi-ethnic women, who are proud members of the LGBTQ community. Led by a strong female driven cast, our series will explore diversity, love, contemporary social issues and relationships in a comedic and honest way.’
A talented cast and crew are in place, including Jillian Rose Reed, best known as Tamara in MTV’s Awkward. It looks like it could be an interesting one, so if you want to help out, take a look at the video below and then head over to Kickstarter.
