TBWA Paris and Inter-LGBT France have teamed up to create the very short but very effective film, Le Parcours (The Course). As the title suggests, it’s about an obstacle course, but this is a metaphorical one looking at the difficulties faced by many LGBT people around the world.
Ben Briand of Moonwalk Films directed the short, which is filmed completely in the first person, mixing the real and the imaginary to give a very good feel for the struggles with school, friends, family and identity that many young LGBT people have to deal with. Inter-LGBT says they wanted to show, the ‘energy, patience and courage it takes to get up every morning and keep moving despite prejudice and violence’, for many LGBT people.
Take a look at Le Parcours below. If you know a short film we ought to be posting, tell us by getting in touch via our contact page. And check out more gay short films and web series here.
