Last year a crowdfunding campaign was launched for the fourth and final season of the popular gay-themed web show Old Dogs & New Tricks. It’s taken a while, but it’s now on its way and before that a mini-movie, called ‘Where Were YOU When the Rights Went ON?’, has been announced that will be released this June – coinciding with the first anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark gay marriage ruling.
Set on June 26, 2015, six months after the show’s season-three finale, the special resolves season-ending cliffhangers, and sets up storylines for ODNT’s upcoming 4th and final season.
The mini-movie also shows when and where the Old Dogs (played by Leon Acord, Curt Bonnem, Jeffrey Patrick Olson, David Pevsner) heard the Supreme Court news. Series regulars Amanda Gari and Parnell Damone Marcano return, along with frequent special guests Rutanya Alda (Mommie Dearest) and Bruce L. Hart (Homewrecker). New guest stars include Brian Nolan (The Lair) and Teddy J. Garces (The Guild).
Shooting this May, the show will debut on the weekend of June 26, the first anniversary of gay marriage becoming legal coast to coast, on their website (www.odnt.tv) and on YouTube and on the show’s various social media sites. Written by series creator Acord, the special will be directed by series producer/director Arvin Bautista.
