While Emma Watson said she was going to college after Harry Potter and then put those plans on hold for a year to pursue more acting gigs, it appears she won’t be back at university, at least this year, as she’s now in talks to join director Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic Noah, according to Deadline.
The actress will play Ila, a young woman who strikes up a relationship with the title character’s son, Shem (Douglas Booth). Russell Crowe is playing Noah, and Logan Lerman will play another of his sons, Shem. Noah’s nemesis still has to be cast, and Jennifer Connelly is still in talks to play the ark-builder’s wife.
Darren Aronofsky is directing from a script he co-wrote with Ari Handel. Paramount and New Regency are both producing and co-financing the project. It isn’t known when production will start.
