To follow the imaginatively titled films such as Zombie Strippers and Aliens Vs Predators, yes the title says it all, it’s exactly what it says on the tin! It This film delivers us mad flesh eating zombies and some right Cockney geezers (and girls).

After the huge success of Shaun Of The Dead, we haven’t had a good fusion of comedy and horror, instead getting lacklustre films such as The Cottage and Burke and Hare. [Read more...]

First Clip & Trailer From The New Normal, Ryan Murphy’s Gay Sitcom

A couple of days ago we brought you the first couple of images from The New Normal, Glee creator Ryan Murphy’s gay-themed TV comedy, which is due to start airing in the US this autumn (and will hopefully arrive over here not long afterwards). In order to try and get audiences – and potential advertisers – excited, NBC has released a lengthy trailer and the first clip from the show, which you can see above and below.

The New Normal revolves around a blended family of a gay couple (Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha) and the woman (Georgia King) who becomes a surrogate for them as they grow their family. Ellen Barkin co-stars with Nene Leakes on board as recurring characters.

Do you think it looks fun? Do you reckon it’ll find it tough to find an audience? Let us know below.

First Look At The New Normal, Ryan Murphy’s Gay Themed TV Comedy

Those who been pining for a gay-centred US TV comedy ever since Will & Grace ended (there’s Modern Family and Glee, but they’re not quite the same), will be pleased to hear that Glee creator Ryan Murphy’s new sitcom, The New Normal, has been picked up and will start airing this autumn.

According to THR, The New Normal ‘revolves around a blended family of a gay couple (Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha) and the woman (Georgia King) who becomes a surrogate for them as they grow their family. Ellen Barkin co-stars with Nene Leakes on board as recurring characters.’

Quite frankly we’re happy with anything that the sexy Justin Bartha appears in, and if he’s playing gay, all the better. Let’s hope it all works out and the show becomes a hit.

There’s still another rather gay show that may be arriving later this year, but while US network CBS is said to have liked the pilot for Partners, they’ve yet to announce whether they’re going to order a full series or not (we should find out in the next few days). The show, from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, is about architects Charlie (David Krumholtz) and Louis (Michael Urie), whose friendship has lasted longer than either of their romantic relationships and almost seems like a weird marriage. When Charlie decides to propose to his girlfriend, the gay Louis’ neurotic attempts to be supportive nearly result in the breakup of his own relationship. Brandon Routh plays Louis’ boyfriend.

Take a look above and below for the first shots from the New Normal.
