men-in-black-3-slideFollowing the $600 million success of Men In Black 3, it’s not too surprising that Sony Pictures wants another one. Now they’re moving forward with Men in Black 4, hiring screenwriter Oren Uziel (The Kitchen Sink) to write the screenplay, according to TheWrap.

Uziel’s going to be busy, as the studio has also set the writer to re-write the script for 21 Jump Street 2. He’ll work on 21 Jump Street 2 script before moving on to Men In Black 4.

While some had wondered whether audiences would be interested in for Men In Black after such as long gap, but the third instalment turned out to be the highest grossing of the franchise. No details are known about the planned fourth film, and while it’s likely Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are open to returning, no deals have been set yet.

It has been 10 years since we last heard from the Men In Black. The successful film series has grossed over $1 billion worldwide at the box office, not to mention having vast DVD sales. Has the world forgotten MIB? Is it still relevant today when action/alien films are ten-a-penny? Well, this is a welcome return to the franchise – it delivers nothing new but fits like a comfortable pair of slippers and entertains nonetheless.

The film, like the previous two, is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and there is no need to introduce the familiar characters, although there are a few new ones to add into the mix. The plot starts off with Nicole Scherzinger helping free Boris the Animal (Jermaine Clement) from prison – this really is a rather pointless cameo in her movie debut, where she does nothing more than walk around in a rubber outfit holding a cake. It’s out May 25th, but now the first clips from the movie have arrived, so take a look at the below.

Listen To Pitbull’s Men In Black 3 Theme Song

The theme tune for Men In Black 3 has popped up online and rather neatly, you can have a listen right here. It’s not a patch on Will Smith’s tune from the first film, but Cuban-American rapper Pitbull’s song isn’t bad at all. In Men In Black 3, something has changed time so that Jones’ Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) died in 1969, and Will Smith’s Agent J has to go back in time and sort it out. It hits cinemas May 25th.
