It’s not often that you get a poster for a movie at the same time the cast is announced, but that’s happened with Killing Season, which came up with the image and announcement ahead of trying to get sales at the American Film Market this week.
It’s been revealed the movie will star Robert De Niro and John Travolta, with Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil) directing from a script by Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman).
The film is an action movie set in the Appalachian Mountains about an American military veteran (De Niro) who has retreated to a remote cabin in the woods. When a rare visitor, a European tourist (Travolta), appears on the scene, the two men strike up an unlikely friendship. However, the visitor is actually a former Serbian soldier bent on revenge. That sets off a battle across some of America’s most forbidding landscape.
It’ll be the first time De Niro and Travolta have appeared together on-screen, and we’ll also get the joy of John chewing up a Serbian accent! Shooting it set to begin on January 16th. (Source: Variety)
