With the two Hangover movies grossing over $1 billion worldwide, it’s not suprising Warner Bros. wants more, but they’re going to have to dig deeper into their pockets to ensure The Hangover Part III happens. Now THR reveals stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms are asking for $15 million apiece to reprise their roles in The Hangover Part III.
It is believed that the deals are being finalised, which includes a back end percentage on top of the $15 million, and the actors will likely get what they requested. Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms made a little under $1 million each for The Hangover. They got a decent pay bump to $5 million for The Hangover Part II, but with bonuses based on the film’s performance, each of the actors ended up making in the mid-teens from the movie. For a third they want $15 million up front, which ensures they’ll do very well even if the film’s a flop.
Back in December, Bradley Cooper revealed that The Hangover Part III will likely start shooting in September, although it seems the studio wants to get started earlier then that. Insiders claim Warner Bros. wants to go into production this summer, so the comedy sequel can hit a Memorial Day 2013 release. Little is known about the story, but it is said to be centered around The Wolf Pack’s home city of Los Angeles.
