Idris Elba feels like he’s on the edge of breaking really big in the US, and hopefully No Good Deed will help him on his way (as will his recently announced role as a young Nelson Mandella in The Long Walk To Freedom), as THR reports he’s signed up for the movie, alongside Taraji P. Henson.
Aimee Lagos’s screenplay is about a former DA-turned-stay-at-home mom and her two small children who are terrorised and kidnapped from their home when she invites a good-looking mysterious stranger in to wait for help after his car ran off the road.
Henson will play the terrified mom, while Elba will be showing his range as the deadly kidnapper. It’ll also reteam Idris with director Sam Miller, who helmed episodes of his detective drama Luther. Shooting will start in April in Georgia
