The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits cinemas today, and what better way to celebrate than with hot pics of a star of the film who’s likely to become a much bigger name thanks to the movie – Dean O’Gorman?
He takes of the role of the dwarf Fili in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, brother of Kili (Aidan Turner – tomorrow’s Crush Of The Day) and one of the twelve companions of Thorin and Bilbo who go on the Quest of Erebor. He was very lucky to get the role, as initially Eastenders actor Rob Kazinsky was cast as Fili, but he left the production after a few days (apparently for personal reasons) and was replaced by O’Gorman.
While New Zealand born Dean is bound to become a much bigger international name thanks to the fantasy films, he might be recognisable to some of you for playing Anders in the NZ TV show The Almighty Johnsons. And if you’ve got a very good memory you may remember him as young Iolaus in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Young Hercules.
He’s also popped up in Farscape, McLeod’s Daughters and various other antipodean shot productions. And way back in 1998 he played gay in When Love Comes, and we’ve got a couple of pics from that below, as well as various other shots that show that the hairy-chested blond doesn’t mind getting his kit off. So enjoy him in The Hobbit and click below to get a bit more of an eye full.
