The moment Alice In Wonderland grossed a billion dollars worldwide, you’d have thought Disney would have rushed a sequel into production, but it’s taken them a while to sort things out. Now they’re moving forward though, with The Muppets director James Bobin is in negotiations to direct a sequel, according to Variety.
News of the film first emerged back in December, when Alice in Wonderland screenwriter Linda Woolverton signed on to write the script. No story details have been confirmed, but the working title is Into the Looking Glass.
Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd, and Jennifer Todd will produce the sequel for Disney, although it is not known when production may begin. James Bobin is currently directing The Muppets sequel The Muppets… Again!
