As X-Men: Days Of Future Past has been shooting for weeks now, you’d have thought they’d have completed casting, but apparently not, as Australian actor Josh Helman has landed an unknown but pivotal role in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
No details have been given about his character, but it is believed to be an important part since he will be on the Montreal set for many weeks, according to TheWrap.
The rising star reunites with his Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Nicholas Hoult for the film, which Bryan Singer is directing from a script by Simon Kinberg, based on the 1980s comic book arc by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. The story revolves an alternate future where all mutants are hunted down by machines known as Sentinels, following the death of a Senator by the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
Josh Helman joins a cast that also includes X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), along with the likes of Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy.
Josh Helman has recently starred in Jack Reacher and Animal Kingdom, and will next be seen in Mad Max: Fury Road.
