In the last couple of weeks, Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Geoffrey Rush all signed up to star in the supernatural action fantasy God Of Egypt. Now Deadline reports that they’ve been joined by up and coming young actor Aussie actor Brenton Thwaites.
The film follows the god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), whose father Osiris was killed by his uncle, Set (Gerard Butler), the god of the desert, storms and foreigners. Brenton Thwaites will play the human thief Bek, who joins forces with Horus in hopes that Set’s death will break the curse he put on a character named Zaya. Geoffrey Rush portrays Ra, the father to both Osiris and Set, who may also be part od Set’s diabolical plan.
Alex Proyas is directing from a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. Brenton Thwaites will next be seen in Maleficent as Prince Charming.
