A few years ago Sienna Miller looked on the edge of breaking big, but it never quite happened for her. However she hasn’t gone away and has now scored a major role as she’s signed up to star alongside Bradley Cooper in American Sniper, according to TheWrap.
The action movie is based on the autobiography of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, a Texas native who racked up the most confirmed sniper kills of anyone in US military history. Tragically though, he was killed by a fellow veteran at a shooting range last February (it’s not clear if that will be included in the movie).
Director Clint Eastwood reportedly spent much of the past week deciding whether Sienna Miller or Jaimie Alexander would be best for the role of the soldier’s wife, who is raising his kids while he is off fighting overseas. Kate Mara was also a contender for the role, but she had drop out of contention after being chosen to play Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four.
Filming is scheduled to begin next month.
