It seems likely Julianne Moore will be bidding for award nominations for Still Alice, which is the sort of movie the Academy of others often love, giving an actor the chance to show off their skill while playing a character dealing with serious illness.
Here’s the synopsis: ‘Alice Howland, happily married with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. When she receives a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring.’
The film is out in New York and LA now and will spread to the rest of the US starting January 16, 2015, while an early March 2015 UK release is set.
