When the cast for Suicide Squad was announced, Tom Hardy was amongst the throng. However when the filming dates slipped slightly he was out, with his schedule meaning he could no longer play Rick Flagg.
Now they may have found a replacement, as TheWrap reports Joel Kinnaman is in talks for the part. Joel Edgerton and Jon Bernthal were also in consideration, but it’s Kinnaman who’s bagged it.
Assuming he signs on the dotted line, he’ll join Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (The Joker), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller).
The movie revolveds around an array of supervillains, who have all been captured but are offered the chance for redemption by taking on a mission from which none of them are expected to return alive.
David Ayer is set to direct, with an August 5th, 2016 release date already been set.
