In the last few years it’s felt Al Pacino has been on autopilot, taking on any old movie that will stump up his paycheque and then coasting through the movie while putting in relatively little effort. However it seems he might be showing a bit more spark in 2015 with Danny Collins and Manglehorn.
The trailer for the latter has now arrived, which you can watch below.
Here’s the synopsis: ‘A.J. Manglehorn (Pacino) is a reclusive Texas key-maker who spends his days caring for his cat, finding comfort in his work and lamenting a long-lost love. Enter kindhearted bank teller Dawn (Holly Hunter), whose interest in the eccentric Manglehorn may just be able to draw him out of his shell. Chris Messina costars in this remarkably rich and humorous tale of second chances.’
David Gordon Green directs the film, which should be out later this year.
