Documentaries about interesting LGBT people are always worth a look, and that’s what the Always Love series provides. Two out of the three short docs have now been released online, looking at Hal Moskowitz and Joanna Fang, with a third focusing on Brigid McGinn, still to arrive.
As Huffpo notes, ‘On the surface, the individual stories couldn’t be more different. Moskowitz is a community organizer spurred to action when he started seeing friends succumb to a then-unnamed illness. Joanna Fang is a transwoman who finally finds herself comfortable in her own skin. And Brigid McGinn comes out later in life after being married and having four kids.’
The films see all three of them at the New York City Pride parade, demonstrating the wide diversity of events like that, which bring together disparate people to create a stronger sense of community. It’s good evidence that Pride still has its place, as well as an interesting look at a trio of fascinating people.
Zachary Fuhrer produced the films in partnership with workspace provider, WeWork, with Brenna Perez directing.
Perez comments, “All three of them are incredible individuals, with unique stories to tell that speak to the kinds of experiences millions of people have around the world. I think it’s important for us to hear their stories.”
