Comedian and star of the comedy/drama Louise, Louis C.K., is in talks to star in the currently untitled next project from director David O. Russell, according to THR. The movie was formerly known as American Bullsh*t.

The film, which is based on a true story, is about Melvin Weinberg (Christian Bale), a con artist who was forced to work with the F.B.I. to uncover a vast conspiracy that stretched from Atlantic City to Washington D.C. Louis C.K. will portray an FBI agent. Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, and Amy Adams also star.

David O. Russell is directing from a screenplay by Eric Singer (The International). The current plan is to shoot the movie soon, with a late 2013 release date being eyed.
