Whether it’s because she likes the role or just wants to work with Ridley Scott, Angelina Jolie is in talks for a small part in The Counselor, according to Vulture, joining Michael Fassbender, Jeremy Renner, and Natalie Portman (although the last two of those still have to sign on the dotted line).
It’s now known exactly what part Jolie is in talks for, but it believed to be a relatively brief role. The Counselor is the first original script by legendary author Cormac McCarthy and follows a lawyer (Fassbender) who is looking to get into the drug trade.
Ridley Scott hopes to have The Counselor in front of cameras by June, giving Angelina Jolie enough time to shoot her few scenes before headlining Maleficent for Walt Disney Pictures, which plans to shoot this year for release in 2014.
