Several months ago now it was revealed that Ryan Reynolds had signed on to star in Queen Of The Night, which Sweet Hereafter helmer Atom Egoyan is planning to direct. Since then the likes of Scott Speedman and Mireille Enos have signed on for the movie, and now Reynolds has got some more company in the movie, as Variety reports that Rosario Dawson has signed up for the film.
Based on a screenplay by Egoyan and David Fraser, Reynolds will play a father who goes in search of his missing daughter. While the girl was eight at the time of her abduction, her dad gets new information about the case almost nine years later, which leads him to think his daughter is still alive.
Mireille Enos will be Reynolds wife, who always checks in with the police on her missing daughter’s birthday. She realises that disturbing memorabilia left at her workplace are clues leading to her daughter’s whereabouts. Dawson joins Speedman as a detective heading up an investigation into the location of an abducted child.
Shooting starts this month in Canada.
