The first poster for Angelina Jolie’s directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood & Honey, has dropped, and it’s a rather arty, graphic number, with a blood-spattered map of the Balkans making the shape of two people preparing to kiss. How nice!
Jolie’s film, which she also wrote, is set during the Bosnian War, and follow Danijel, a soldier fighting for the Serbs, who re-encounters Ajla, a Bosnian who’s now a captive in the camp he oversees. Their once promising connection has become ambiguous now that both their motives have changed.
The film’s getting a late December release in the US, ready for an Oscar run, but not firm UK date has been set yet.
