Peter Jackson is going to be a very, very busy man in 2013, as he’s already got two more Hobbit films to prepare for release in December 2013 and July 2014, and now he’s revealed that he plans to shoot the motion capture elements for a sequel to Tintin next year too.

Anthony Horowitz (Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker) is writing the screenplay, which is believed to be based on Herge’s The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun.
Jackson has long been slated to direct the second Tintin movie, agreeing to do it when he signed up to produce the Spielberg directed Secret Of The Unicorn. Things have been somewhat delayed though by The Hobbit, as originally Guillermo Del Toro was supposed to be making the Middle Earth movies while Jackson worked on Tintin, but when the New Zealander took over as director, the motion-capture movie had to be pushed back.
