Last week the first set pics of Jamie Foxx in blue make-up as Electro in The Amazing Spider-man 2 popped up online. Now we’ve got our first official look at Foxx’s character, via director Marc Webb’s Twitter feed, giving us a view of him before he turns into the villainous Electro. Dane DeHaan has also tweeted out first look at him in the movie.
Foxx plays Max Dillon, a rather nerdy guy who works at Oscorp, but gets overlooked by everyone except Peter Parker, who thinks Max could be a handy source of info about the company. Dillon becomes increasingly obsessed with working with Spider-man, but it all goes wrong when a electrical mishaps gives him powers of his own. In the comics he can shoot electricity from his fingertips and manipulate electronic devices, although it hasn’t been confirmed what powers he’ll have in the movie.
DeHaan meanwhile will be Harry Osborn (previously played by James Franco in the earlier Spider-man films), the son of Norman Osborn. There hasn’t been much info on exactly how he fits into the plot, although presumably he’ll become Peter’s friend.
The film’s shooting now and will be released April 2014.
