For quite a long time, Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia were working on the screenplay for the long-gestating adaptation of Y: The Last Man. While that movie is still in limbo, they’ve now been hired to pen Michael Bay’s upcoming adaptation Ubisoft’s video game Ghost Recon, according to Variety.
Ghost Recon debuted in 2001, following an elite U.S. Army Special Forces unit who eliminate terrorist threats around the world, while cleaning up any traces that they officially exist. More than 24 million copies of the game have been sold since its debut.
Michael Bay is producing the project and may weel direct after he finishes production on Transformers: Age of Extinction.
