He might be a bit of a sentimentalist, but director Gabriele Muccino has had great success with the likes of The Pursuit Of Happyness and Seven Pounds, and now he’s back with with Fathers and Daughters.
It’s got a great cast too, with Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul, Quvenzhane Wallis and Jane Fonda starring.
Here’s a synopsis: ‘Fathers and Daughters is a love story between a father and daughter living in New York City. The story moves back and forth between the 1980’s where Jake Davis (Russell Crowe), a Pulitzer-winning novelist and widower, struggles with mental illness as he tries to raise his 5-year old daughter, Katie, and 30-year-old Katie’s (Amanda Seyfried) life in present-day Manhattan where she battles the demons that stem from her troubled childhood.’
The film will be in UK cinemas November 15th.
