Looking & Mean Girls’ Daniel Franzese Has Announced His Engagement

Daniel Franzese gained a huge amount of fans as the ‘too gay to function’ Damian in Mean Girls, and since then he’s popped up in War Of The Worlds, I Spit On You Grave and more recently HBO’s Looking. However, he’s currently got something a bit more exciting that his acting resume happening in his life, as he’s announced that he’s engaged to boyfriend Joseph Bradley Phillips.

Franzese was the one who popped the question, asking Joey to marry him in a Starbucks in North Hollywood where the duo had their first date. The actor apparently gave the ring to a barista, who then called out ‘Mr and Mr Franzese!’ when the coffees were ready (which might sound a little presumptuous that Joey’s going to take his name, but his reps have already confirmed they will both be Mr. Franzese once married, so presumably it’s something they’d already talked about). Instead of coffee, Joey was given a cup with the ring inside, at which point Daniel dropped to one knee.

“Since I first saw you here, you have opened your heart to me, and I vow to God that for the rest of my life to honor and protect that heart if you will be my husband. Will you marry me?” said Franzese.

Luckily Joey said yes. Congratulations to both of them.
