When most people have a ‘ridiculous’ night, it doesn’t involve being arrested by undercover cops on drug charges, but that’s what happened to US soap star Scott Evans, brother of Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
TMZ reports the 29-year-old was caught during a sting operation and arrested for allegedly trying to buy narcotics from an LAPD officer who was posing as a drug dealer. He was booked on felony charges of attempting to possess a controlled substance and released on bail after more than five hours in custody. It’s not known what type of drug he’s said to have tried to buy.
However Scott seems to be taking it all in his stride, writing on Facebook, ‘Most ridiculous night of my life in LA so far. At least I made it a year before getting arrested.’
Evans is best known in the US for playing gay police Officer Oliver Fish on the US soap opera, One Life to Live. He was on the show from 2008 through early 2010, coming out in 2009. His storyline culminated in a symbolic group gay wedding. He is also openly gay in real life.
