Luke Hemsworth may be the older brother of Chris and Liam, but he hasn’t seen the international success of his younger siblings. However he’ll be hoping to remedy that by making his first feature acting debut in The Reckoning, according to Variety.
The movie is about two detectives (Luke Hemsworth and Jonathan LaPaglia) who are looking for a couple of runaways who have shot video footage of a murder. Jonathan LaPaglia is the younger brother of actor Anthony LaPaglia, so it really is a movie for the siblings of famous Aussies.
John V. Soto is directing from his own original screenplay. Production is scheduled to begin April 29 in Perth, Australia. Luke Hemsworth has previously starred in Australian TV shows such as Neighbours. Who knows, perhaps in a few years he’ll be headed for Hollywood too.
