Harry Potter director Chris Columbus could do with a hit after lacklustre results for Rent, I Love You Beth Cooper and Percy Jackson, so he’s teaming up with Adam Sandler for Hello Ghost, based on the Korean movie of the same name, according to Variety.
The original is about a suicidal man, who, after a failed attempt at killing himself, is surprised by the arrival of four wayward ghosts. The man must grant each of them one wish before they will leave his alone and let him continue living his life.
Admission writer Karen Croner has come up with the screenplay for the remake. There’s no news on when it might shoot, or whether it will be Columbus’ next movie (he’s also set for Pixels).
