Helen Mirren is in crowd-pleaser territory with The Hundred-Foot Journey Trailer – after all it’s from Lasse Halstrom, director of The Cider House Rules, Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, Dear John and most relevant to this new film, Chocolat. Now we can take a look with the trailer.
Mirren plays Madame Mallory, the owner of a three-Michelin-star restaurant in France. All is going well for her until Hassan Haji and his family movie from India to France and open up a Indian restaurant just 100 feet from Mallory’s restaurant.
The town adores this new addition to the culinary scene. However it initially sets off a war between the eating establishments, until Mallory relents and mentors Hassan (Manish Dayal) on his culinary trek, taking him to Paris.
The film’s due out August 8th in the US and September 12th in the UK.
