James Franco fits in more projects than virtually anyone else around. As well as popping up in several movies as an actor each year, he’s also directing a surprising amount of films as well as writing books. Now he’s back in the director’s chair with Child Of God, based on a story by Cormac McCarthy.
Now we’re got the trailer, which you can see below.
Here’s the synopsis: ‘Rootless and unstable, Ballard makes a disastrous attempt to exist outside the social order. As his reclusive tendencies become more extreme, he falls deeper into crime and degradation.’
While earlier films by Franco have had the feeling that perhaps he was trying to fit so much in that he didn’t really have the time to craft his directorial efforts enough, early reports on Child Of God suggest it’s a tight and effective piece of filmmaking.
And August US release is set.
