65th Cannes Film Festival Line-up Announced

April 19, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

This year’s Cannes Film Festival, which is celebrating its 65th birthday, runs from May 16th to 27th, and today the official selection was revealed, which includes an interesting mix of movies, including David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis and Ken Loach’s The Angels’ Share.

Also in competition are Michael Haneke’s latest Armour (Love), Alain Resnais’ Vous N’Avez Encore Rien Vu, Walter Salles’ adaptation of Kerouac’s On The Road, John Hillcoat’s Lawless and Thomas Vinterberg’s Jagten (The Hunt). Adding a bit more star power is Jeff Nichols’ Mud, which features Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoons, while McConaughey also features in Lee Daniel’s The Paperboy, alongside Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and John Cusack.
