New Brain On Fire Trailer – Chloe Moretz falls into madness in the true-life tale

June 18, 2018 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Synopsis: ‘One morning, 24-year-old Susannah Cahalan woke up in a hospital bed. She couldn’t speak. She couldn’t move. And she had no idea how she got there. Based on Cahalan’s bestselling memoir Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, director Gerard Barrett’s adaptation captures the horrifying experience of one woman’s unexplained descent into madness and the medical miracle it took to pull her back from the brink.

‘Fresh out of journalism school and ready to embark on adult life, Susannah (Chloë Grace Moretz) already seemed to have it all: her dream job at the New York Post, supportive co-workers (Tyler Perry and Jenny Slate), a devoted boyfriend (Thomas Mann), and a loving family (Richard Armitage and Carrie-Anne Moss). Then, almost overnight, this ingénue went from one of the Post’s most reliable reporters to an unstable, paranoid shell of her former self.

‘Plagued by auditory hallucinations and memory loss, doctors dismissed her condition with a diagnosis of partying too hard and stress. But as her condition worsened, the stakes grew higher, and the race to find an answer became a matter of life and death.’

Take a look at the trailer below. The film arrives on Netflix on June 22nd. [Read more…]

Project X Star Thomas Mann Will Be King Dork

March 26, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Project X star Thomas Mann has joined the cast of King Dork, which is being put together by Will Ferrell’s production company, with Casa de Mi Padre director Matt Piedmont helming.

The film is about Sam and Tom, two losers who use their love of rock and roll music to get through their tumultuous high school days. Mann will play Tom, while Keir Gilchrist is circling the Sam role. Nick Offerman is eyeing the part of Tom’s stepfather.

D.V. DeVincentis is writing the screenplay, based on the novel of the same name by Frank Portman. Shooting will begin in June following a very long period of development, as King Dork was actually the first project announced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay when they formed their Gary Sanchez Productions company in 2006.

Project X Trailer

November 3, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Teenagers waiting until their parents are away to stage a huge party is a bit of a classic both in the movies and in real life. Project X wants to tap into a bit of that with the story of three high school seniors who throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads. The film should be in cinemas next spring.
