There are quite a lot of gay-themed web series out there, and a few trans-ones too. And while there have been bisexual characters in various series, few have looked directly at the particular issues faced by bi people.

By The Bi has now arrived to help address that, with comedian and musician Bill Posley giving us a fictionalised take on his life, offering a humorous look at the difficulties faced by bisexual people, not least of which is having to deal with people who don’t understand, or want to make judgements. As Posley says at the beginning of the series, “I don’t speak for all bisexuals. This is just my personal experience. I made this because I don’t actually see this point of view out in the world all that much.”

The first three episodes of the series have been released, which starts out with Bill telling his parents he’s bi – although they’d prefer it if he was either gay or straight. Then he heads to an LGBT support group, where he discovers they’re not exactly sure how to support the ‘B’ bit. Finally in the third episode, his friends decide to make sure he’s ready to jump into the LGBT world.
