Oldboy helmer Park Chan-wook’s first English language film, Stoker, won’t hit cinemas until early next year, but it looks like he’s planning to stick with the English language, as the South Korean director is already eyeing future Hollywood projects.

He recently signed on to direct The Brigands of Rattleborge, and now Variety reports he’s attached to a crime drama called Corsica 72. The movie is based-on-a-true story about two young best friends living in Corsica in 1972 (as the title suggest) who go on to live divergent lives. As one becomes an upstanding business man, the other becomes a gangster, and they find their lives clash when they become interested in the same woman.

Neal Purvis and Robert Wade’s script has previously landed on the Black List of the best unproduced screenplay, so it’s already got a fair amount of steam behind it, although there’s no news on when it might shoot.
