Disposable Teens: Episode 10 – The web series about a runaway gay teen ends its second season

August 10, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-ep10It’s been a dramatic few episodes for young, gay runaway Austin, after stepping back from the brink of suicide and surviving sexual assault. Now the second season of the show comes to its conclusion.

The show is about a gay teenager named Austin who is forced to run from his home after coming out of the closet. In this episode, ‘Austin (Chris Jehnert) is in a desperate state and runs back to Madison (Lucio Nieto), who previously used Austin in pornography shoots, and begs to come back as being with Madison seems more stable to Austin. What happens next brings some closure to the series but leaves the door open for a possible third season.’

You can take a look at Episodes 10 below and if you need to catch up, click here. Hopefully it will return for Season 3 too. [Read more…]

August 2, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-ep9In the last episode of Disposable Teens, we left young, gay Austin (Chris Jehnert) in a precarious position, after he’d had drugs put in his drink and a man was forcing himself upon him. The latest episode picks up aftermath, looking at the outcome of the assault.

The episode sees Austin  tells his boyfriend Houston (Tyler Begnoche) what has happened. Eventually he also gets to confront his assaulter (Evan Reed), which results in all the things that have happened to him in the preceding months crowding into his mind.

Disposable Teens is about a gay teenager named Austin  who is forced to run from his home after coming out of the closet. Last season he ended up becoming prey to a charismatic pornographer named Madison (Lucio Nieto). Disposable Teens: Episode 8 – The web series about a gay homeless teen deals with male sexual assault

July 25, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-ep8The web series Disposable Teens has taken on some weighty issues across it previous three episodes, and that certainly continues with Episode 8. It deals with the extremely serious issue of male victim sexual assault and date rape, as once more Austin gets into a situation he didn’t expect and doesn’t deserve.

The show is about a gay teenager named Austin (Chris Jehnert) who is forced to run from his home after coming out of the closet. Last season he ended up becoming prey to a charismatic pornographer named Madison (Lucio Nieto). This season he has found his way into the club scene with the help of a cute drug dealer named Houston (Tyler Begnoche) and a charming club promoter named Orlando (Evan Reed). However, there are dangers out there.

The show was inspired by director Brian Pelletier’s own experiences as a young, gay teen runaway, and is one of the few shows to look at the issues homeless LGBT people face. It’s a topic that should get more attention, as LGBT youth are disproportionately affected by homelessness.

Disposable Teens: Episodes 6 & 7 – Find out what’s next for gay homeless teen Austin

July 18, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-episode-7The first season of Disposable Teens was a great watch, following teenager Austin, who was forced out of his family home after he came out as gay. Inevitably that caused all manner of problems, as well as some slivers of hope as Austin began to piece a family of his own choosing together. However, he also ended up becoming prey to a charismatic pornographer named Madison.

Now the show is back for Season 2, with episodes 6 and 7 having arrived. At the end of Season 1, Austin’s fate was hanging in the balance as he literally stood on the ledge contemplating suicide. Season 2 starts to piece together what happened after that pivotal moment, as well as exploring his beginnings of his relationship with Houston.

The show was inspired by director Brian Pelletier own experiences as a young, gay teen runaway, and is one of the few shows to look at the issues homeless LGBT people face. It’s a topic that should get more attention, as LGBT youth are disproportionately affected by homelessness.

You can take a look at Episodes 6 and 7 below. More new episodes will be arriving each Monday until August 8th. Click here, here and here to watch Disposable Teens episode 1-5. [Read more…]

Disposable Teens: Episodes 3-5 – Find out what happens next to gay homeless teen Austin

February 11, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-ep4Last month we posted the first two episodes of the gay-themed web series Disposable Teens. Since then the season has been completed with the release of episodes three, four, and five, so we can see more of the story of gay teen Austin, who becomes homeless after he’s forced from his family home. From there it’s a series of highs as lows and he discovers new friends and possibilities, but also plenty of new problems.

Outlicious TV, which produced the show, comments, ‘The season finale, Property, has created quite a stir on social media with its cliff hanger ending reminiscent of Glen’s recent story line on The Walking Dead. From a business perspective, OutliciousTV has been able to create new LGBT web series without seeking crowd funding while keeping production costs low. All five episodes were produced for an estimated total of $1200.’

You can catch up with Episode 1 and Episode 2 by click on the links, and finish up with the other three episodes below. For more info, head over to Outlicious TV.

January 12, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

disposable-teens-ep1OutliciousTV has released the first episode of its eighth web series, Disposable Teens, which takes a look at the lives of young runaway and homeless LGBT people. It’s a bit of a personal project for writer/director Brian Pelletier, as he was once a gay runaway youth himself (you can find out a bit more about his connection to the story in the video at the very bottom of this post).

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Disposable Teens is dramatic web series about a gay teen, Austin (Chris Jehnert) who is forced to come out of the closet into a not so welcoming home. His conservative parents (Marianne Goodell and David Sewell) do not take his coming out well and things get intense in the house. Austin is forced to run away and live on the streets.’
