A remake of The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty has been in the works for years (about 20 years), with various actors attached to the title role. However now we have the evidence that the film really is coming, as the LA Times has the first pic from the movie, with Ben Stiller look unimpressed on the shoreline.
The movie is a remake of the 1947 comedy of the same name that follows a shy magazine photo editor, who fills his life with elaborate fantasies where he’s a true hero. However his life is upended when a photo negative goes missing and he discovers being a hero in real life is tougher than he thought.
The movie is set to arrive in cinemas as Christmas. Stiller plays the title character and also directs.
Normally the closest Sean Penn gets to mainstream popcorn cinema is an earnest drama or indie project, but now he might make a proper populist movie, as
