BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 16 – Chris Evans

December 16, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

There are many reasons to love Chris Evans, and one of the best is how little he seems to like wearing shirts. I don’t think he’s ever managed to get through an entire movie with his top on, and quite frankly, that’s fine by me.

However there are more reasons to love him than just his cute face and incredible bod. Even if you’re not a big fan of his wisecracking acting style, he gets major points for being incredibly gay friendly, which probably comes from having a gay younger brother called Scott.

Click on the pics below to enlarge them and enjoy the shirtless buffness of Chris Evans. [Read more…]

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 15 – Darren Criss

December 15, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Whether you love Glee or hate it, it’s difficult not to swoon when Darren Criss is around – especially when he’s gaying it up on screen as Blaine, opposite Chris Colfer’s Kurt. Criss is a rare mix of innocence, geekiness, preppiness and sweetness, yet dashed through with a streak of dirty sexiness. You get the feeling he’d take you out for a lovely romantic evening, then bang you senseless afterwards until you’re both completely spent.

Darren find found fame on the internet, starring in musical parodies of Harry Potter. That led to him moving to LA, a role in the short-lived show Eastwick and then on to Glee.

The raunchier pics below are from a photoshoot for Out magazine in the US, and quite frankly if he ever wants to take more pics like those, he has our blessing. [Read more…]

Zac Efron Shows Gay Marriage Support In New Image

December 15, 2011 By Tim Isaac 1 Comment

UPDATE: It’s since been revealed that this pic was faked, based on an old pic of Zac wearing a plain white t-shirt. He’s still gay-friendly though, even if he doesn’t generally wear t-shirts about dudes marrying dudes.

Original post: Any day that offers a new image of Zac Efron is a good day, but it’s even better when the young hunk is showing his support for marriage equality on a t-shirt.

The only thing left is to try and convince Zac that he should be included in the list of dudes who want to marry dudes and that he should marry me!

In case you were wondering, the t-shirt comes from a site called FCKH8.com, which makes a donation for every item they sell in their fashion range to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender causes. They claim to have raised over $250,000 (€193,000) for gay charities, and will undoubtedly raise a bit more now that Zac’s given them a little free publicity.

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 14 – Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling In Crazy Stupid Love

Ryan Gosling In Crazy Stupid Love

Today’s advent calendar entry is a bit of a cheat, as most of the gallery below was the very first thing I posted on this site. However as it went online before BGPS was properly open to the public, I don’t feel too guilty about posting it again. After all, Ryan Gosling is insanely gorgeous and the moment the studio realised people weren’t that interested in the recent movie Crazy Stupid Love, they released an array of shirtless shots of Ryan to try and draw punters in. And as Emma Stone notes in the film, his abs do indeed look like they’ve been photoshopped.

Click to enlarge the images and enjoy! [Read more…]

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 13 – Chad Allen

December 13, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s difficult to know how much Chad Allen’s career was changed by people knowing he was gay, but beforehand it did seem he was on the road to big things. Allen is a former child actor who got his first TV credit at the age of four. That led to regular roles in the shows St. Elsewhere, Our House and My Two Dads, along with guest spots on everything from Star Trek: The Next Generation to The Wonder Years, making him one of the best known child stars around.

At the age of 19 his fame went through the roof when he was cast as Matthew Cooper in the series Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. During the run of that show he was forcibly outed when his boyfriend sold pictures of Chad kissing a man in a hot tub to a tabloid.

Despite having little choice in whether the public knew his private life, Allen has embraced it and become a prominent activist on gay issues. His acting career was undoubtedly altered though, as he found it tough to get work after Dr. Quinn ended. However he has continued to act, often taking gay roles such as private detective Donald Strachey in a series of TV movies. He’s also quite the hottie, so enjoy the pics below and click on them for bigger versions. [Read more…]

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 12 – Alex O’Loughlin

December 12, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s halfway through Advent now, which is a good excuse to look at shirtless pictures of the incredibly hunky Alex O’Loughlin!

If a studio knows a romantic comedy is crap, they tend to release images of the male stars topless, in the hope that’ll draw viewers in. That’s certainly true of the dreadful J-Lo flick The Back-Up Plan, where the only redeeming feature of the movie was that it produced some great images of Alex O’Loughlin without a shirt on.

The Australian actor got his US break in the TV show The Shield, which led to him playing the lead in the vampire series Moonlight. That didn’t last too long though, and neither did the medical show Three Rivers. However he’s now found a lot more success with the new look Hawaii Five-0, in which he stars opposite Scott Caan.

Click the pics below to get a better look at this hottie. [Read more…]

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 11 – Ryan Carnes

December 11, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Ryan Carnes

Ryan Carnes

There are three things you need to know about Ryan Carnes:
1. He made his film debut and got a lot of gay fans starring in Eating Out in 2004
2. He got his man bits out in the movie
3. SInce then he’s never been afraid to be sexy, whether in photoshoots or on screen

As well as eating out, Carnes starred in 100 episodes of US soap General Hospital, and has appeared in series as diverse as Desperate Housewives, CSI: Miami, The Closer, Bones, NCIS and even Doctor Who (perhaps Russell T. Davies in an Eating Out fan).

So celebrate the fact we’re nearly halfway through Advent with our gallery of insanely hot pics of Ryan. And by the way, the pics by Jeff Slater are courtesy of his website. [Read more…]

BGPS’s Advent Calendar Of Buff Blokes: Day 10 – David Moretti

December 10, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

David Moretti in The Lair

David Moretti in The Lair

Today’s Advent Calendar entry will be familiar to any fans of the supernatural gay horror TV series The Lair (assuming the silly but sex-filled show has fans, that’s it), where he played the main character of Thom Etherton. In The Lair he accidentally gets caught up with a band of nefarious gay vampires, whose leader believes that Thom is the reincarnation of his dead lover.

The gay actor has also appeared appeared in indie movies such as Manje, Murder.com,  Playing With Fire, Shut Up And Kiss Me, And Finding Mr Wright. However as the pics here show, any roles he scores should be ones where he’s forced to be without a shirt about 90% of the time. [Read more…]

Conan O’Brien Wants Homophobes To Have A Nice Christmas

December 10, 2011 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

American comedian/talk show host Conan O’Brien obviously wasn’t very impressed by the recent story where a US school teacher removed the word ‘gay’ from the Christmas Carol, Deck The Halls. The word was quickly put back in, as the principal felt the teacher should have taught the kids not to giggle, rather than chopping the word out of the song.

However it got Conan and his team thinking, and they came up with this, which should ensure that all homophobes can have a nice, gay-free Christmas!
