Peccadillo Pictures brings the acclaimed Belgian, gay-themed film Beyond The Walls to DVD in the UK on August 26th, and we’ve teamed up with them to give away three copies of the flick.

The film screened at the likes of Cannes and the BFI Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, and charts the intense sexual relationship between Paulo and Ilir, who first meets in the bar where Paulo works. When Ilir offers to take Paulo back to his flat because he is too drunk to get home, they find the attraction almost too much to bear. Despite an initial hesitation the two grow closer and experiment in a sensual world neither knows much about.

Whilst at first they fill their days getting to know each other’s bodies and pushing their own limits and boundaries, the intensity of their relationship eventually becomes too much. Their love is severely tested by a dramatic series of events and when Ilir ends up in prison, Paulo is forced to become independent.

26th August sees the DVD/Blu-ray release of Olympus Has Fallen, and we’ve put together a two-film collection to giveaway, featuring Olympus Has Fallen, as another Aaron Eckhart film, The Expatriate. We’ve got three sets of the two film to give to three of you!

On Olympus Has Fallen, Gerard Butler stars as Mike Banning, a former secret service operative and personal friend to the US President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart, The Dark Knight), who has been demoted to the Treasury Department but is still within eye sight of the White House. Pedro Almodóvar (All About My Mother, The Skin I Live In) is back with his campest film ever, I’m So Excited, which reaches DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on August 26th. We’ve teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment for a great competition, as we’ve got a copy of the film on DVD, plus a fantastic poster signed by Almodóvar himself!

When a moment’s negligence endangers a flight en route to Mexico City, three wildly flamboyant flight attendants (Carlos Areces, Raúl Arévalo and Javier Cámara) endeavour to keep the passengers happy and in the dark until they can find a solution. The economy class has been put to sleep for their own comfort, but the business class, which includes a shady Spanish banker, a clairvoyant virgin, an actor and a mysterious security agent, proves more difficult to subdue. When the news of impending danger finally spills, it produces a somewhat unexpected reaction. Rather than panic, a frenzied torrent of over-the-top and uproariously funny debauchery ensues. Liberated by the prospect of death, the passengers dispose of all their inhibitions and dive headfirst into a hedonistic haze.

Showcasing the celebrated Spanish auteur at his camp best, I’m So Excited also features charming cameos by Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz as a klutzy husband and wife duo.  Almodóvar’s comedy is rife with symbolism and metaphor aligned with present-day Spain, but the film is entertainment at its best, first and foremost.

The acclaimed documentary The Gatekeepers hits DVD in the UK on August 12th through Metrodome Film. We’ve teamed up with them to offer three of you a copy of the film on DVD!
