Shock Factor Episodes 1&2 – Things get bromantic between gay and straight guy roommates

May 18, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

shock-factor-ep1-2Bryan Hawn has certainly made a name for himself in certain circles, partly for his Youtube videos, where whatever he’s doing, he’s usually doing it in the minimum of clothes that the video site allows, giving the world a good view of just how much time he spends in the gym. Now he’s got a new web series, Shock Factor, which has debuted its first two episode.

The show stars Hawn & Harry Farrell in a comedy series about a gay guy living with his straight best friend. As you might expect, the show features Bryan in his skivvies, with the first episode concentrating on the two guys’ different approach to life, while the second explores a bit more of their bromance.

The show doesn’t exactly have the world’s greatest audio, but there’s plenty of shots of hot, buff guys, often wearing very little, and some of it is pretty fun. Indeed the first half of each episode is just shots of the two guys doing relatively random but nice to look at things. Take a look at the first two episodes below. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted S2 Ep 7 – Danny finds out ‘How to Survive A Gay Pool Party’

May 17, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep7After finding out in the last couple of episodes that perhaps a future in gay porn is not the career for Danny, he’s now back in the world of Go-Go. With life looking up he heads off to a West Hollywood gay pool party.

However, there might be free booze, but it’s not the easiest place to be, especially when he sees an old crush. And what’s gonna happen when it looks like the whole thing is gonna be gatecrashed by an anti-gay protestor!

It is a slightly random episode, but it’s also pretty fun, and also a good excuse to show plenty of guys with their shirts off. Take a look at the new episode of Go-Go Boy Interrupted below. And if you need to catch up with early episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, you can click here to find them. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted: S2, Ep6 – Is Danny really going to do gay porn?

May 10, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep5After spending the last episode trying to decide whether to do gay porn or not, Danny is now on the set and getting ready for his big scene. However, he’s having a few issues, not with his equipment but with the dialogue before he gets to down to business. It’s not the traditional issues with bad acting, it’s more than Danny can’t quite work out what sort of improvisation is needed.

You also won’t be surprised to hear that when it comes to the sex, Danny’s not quite as prepared for that as he thought he was. All-in-all, it’s not an auspicious start to a porn career!

Take a look at the new episode below. And if you need to catch up with early episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, you can click here to find them. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted: S2, Ep5 – Danny tries to decide whether or not to do gay porn

May 4, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep4In Season 2 of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, Danny has had a difficult time getting his life back on track, not least getting his old gyrating in his jocks job back. Now though he’s deciding whether it would be a good time to go into gay porn – which may be the only way to get his job back.

His friends are divided over whether it’s a good thing or not, while his mom is surprisingly positive and his sister just wants Danny to figure it out himself. It’s a tough decision, especially as he can’t decide whether he minds people watching him having sex or not.

Take a look at Danny’s dilemma in the new episode below. And if you need to catch up with early episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, you can click here to find them. [Read more…]

The Benefits of Gusbandry Episode 6 – The exes are causing issues for gay-straight BFFs Jackie and River

May 3, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

benefits-of-gusbandry-ep6After five very entertaining episodes the first season of Alicia J. Rose’s The Benefits of Gusbandry comes to an end with Episode 6, which sees gay River and straight Jackie dealing with their exes. It turns out River isn’t Jackie’s first gusband (gay husband) and River has previously had another swife (straight wife), and running into them is bound to be awkward.

Over the course of the season, the duo have become friends very fast, but it turns out they’ve still got a bit to learn about one another. As they find out, they have at least one thing in common that they probably wish that they didn’t. Throw in some medical marijuana and an art show where the past keeps crawling out of the woodwork, and there’s a perfect storm for both River and Jackie to have a very difficult time.

Hopefully this won’t be the end though, but the finale of Season 1 is here! Take a look at Episode 6 of The Benefits Of Gusbandry below, and if you need to catch up on the first five episodes, click here. [Read more…]

Tough Love S3 Ep6 – Will Steven get a big gay happy ending in the season finale?

May 3, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tough-love-s3-ep6After another great run, Tough Love reaches its Season 3 finale with ‘Change’, which sees Steven and his new ‘friend’ Tyler, deciding whether to take it to the level – however Tyler has an announcement that throws changes everything.

The revelation certainly doesn’t bring out Steven’s best side as he deals with life once more not turning out the way he’d hope. He’s also still not entirely comfortable with the fact that his previously lesbian friend Blaire is now dating a guy, and has a revelation of her own.

Creator/star Steven Bell comments, “This week, things get kind of serious for a minute. We take a break from all the silliness and deal with some painful topics, like rejection and friends growing apart. We’ve been doing this show for three years now. Blaire and I are completely different people now. We wanted to take this opportunity to look back on our lives and how things have changed. But don’t worry there are still some solid laughs in this one.”

Gay Short Film Showcase: Headway – When you fall down you need to get back up again, in a beautiful way

May 3, 2016 By Tim Isaac 1 Comment

headway-short-filmTechnically this isn’t really a gay film – it’s a short for everyone – but it looks beautiful and features an extremely hot and talented guy at its centre, so we’re including it anyway. The film was made and released by Access Oneness, which posted it on their Facebook page.

The short features Louis Boniface as a man slowly tightrope walking over a pond in a forest. However, when he stumbles he has to decide what to do next – and what he does do is quite breathtaking to behold. That Louis is pretty impressive! Take a look below.

Take a look at The Outer Rim below. If you know a short film we ought to be posting, tell us by getting in touch via our contact page. And check out more gay short films and web series here. [Read more…]

Gay Short Film Showcase: The Outer Rim – Leia heads to a gay bar in the Star Wars fan film

May 1, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

outer-rim-star-wars-fan-filmPrincess, sorry, General Leia has been having a bad day – and if you’ve seen the end of The Force Awakens, you’ll know why – and so she heads off to drown her sorrows at The Outer Rim Bar & Grill, and perhaps to get some male company if she can find any. However, she doesn’t realise she’s just walked into a gay bar.

That’s the premise of the fun, comedy Star Wars parody, The Outer Rim, released on the The Ryan And Amy Show Youtube channel by Vancouver-based Ryan Steele and Amy Goodmurphy. They made the short as their entry in a Fan Film competition, but it’s certainly good enough to stand in its own right.

Ahead Of Season 3, Watch The First Two Seasons Of The Award-Winning, Gay-Inclusive These People

April 26, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

these-people-slideThere’s still a perception that web series are the preserve of fame-hungry wannabes making vaguely unwatchable rubbish in their basements. However, if you’ve caught any of the web series we’ve posted here, you’ll know there are some great ones out there.

These People ups the ante even further, with an incredible cast of well-known faces and an Oscar-winner who’s helped write some of the scripts. Jim Rash is best known to many Dean Pelton in Community, but he also won an Academy Award for co-writing The Descendants – and now he’s helped pen two episodes of These People alongside Zac Hug (who co-created These People with Jamie Heinrich), including one which picked up a gong at the Indie Series Awards.

The third season of the award-winning and LGBT-inclusive show starts releasing episodes on April 30th, so it’s a perfect time to catch up on Season’s 1 & 2!

If you need a bit of a primer, here’s some info from the show’s website on the highly dysfunctional world of the Bennet family: ‘Todd Bennet (Zac Hug): high strung, unable to keep his boyfriend Josh (Jeremy Glazer) around, with his heart in the right place. The twins, Chuck and Simon (Cameron Miller-Desart): one’s had some mental health issues, the other owns six restaurants. And Jenny (Claire Downs): an actress, their little sister,  with a lot of insane ideas. On their own, they’re pretty messy. Together, they’re much worse. And then there’s mom (Carolyn Hennesy).  And now,  a gossip columnist (Jim Rash), Jenny’s agent (Mele Ihara), and a mean publicist named Ann Rice (Elizabeth Boykewich) take on Jenny’s beard boyfriend (Ben Baur) and the outlying Bennets: Chuck’s wife, Marilyn (Amanda Walsh) and their daughter, Adelaide (Leigh Epstein). All this under the watchful eye of Dr. Maher (Keith Powell) and his wife, Dr. Maher (Jill Knox-Powell).’

Things get even more complicated in the upcoming Season 3, which premiered its first episode live a couple of days ago, ahead of new, regular episodes from April 30th.

Take a look at These People Seasons 1 & 2 below, along with teasers for Season 3. [Read more…]

Tough Love S3 Ep5 – Steven tries to hang out with the gays, but it doesn’t go well

April 26, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tough-love-s3-ep5It’s a bit of a gay-themed web series party in Episode 5 of Season 3 of Tough Love, as regulars Steven Bell and Blaire Wendel are joined by the likes of Hunting Season and Adulting’s Ben Baur, Broad City’s Dino Petrera and My Gay Roommate’s Noam Ash.

The newcomers are, wait for it, GAYS! That might not sound surprising for a show like this, but Steven isn’t all that great at, well, being social, so isn’t impressed when his friend brings along a bunch of other gays. However, the problem may not be them, it may just be that Steven isn’t all that great at judging the tone of the situation, especially when he decides to drink too much and tell a tale about butts and spray can caps.

Blaire meanwhile ends up at a book club while chasing girls, but ends up finding someone a little unexpected who seems to be on her wavelength.

Creator/star Steven Bell comments, “This week’s episode finds Steven in his most insecure state when the coolest gays in Astoria crash his picnic in the park. I wanted to make an episode about how uncool Blaire and I feel around some people in the city. I”m a mess in this. Enjoy”. Take a look at the new episode below and click here to catch up on the rest of Season 3. [Read more…]
