While most web series don’t make it past a few episodes, the very entertaining Where the Bears Are has four seasons under its belt and is busy planning Season 5. However, to get the next set of episodes in the can, the makers have launched a Kickstarter campaign, hoping to raise at least $150,000.

The Kickstarter page promises that, ‘Season 5 will thrust our hairy heroes into yet another thrilling mystery surrounding the honeymoon of everyone’s favorite bear couple, Nelson and Todd! At the same time, Reggie’s true crime TV show is sinking in the ratings and his personal life is in shambles. But a sexy new romance enters his life causing more complications than ever! Meanwhile, Wood continues to build his swimwear line called “Sporting Wood” with sidekick George Ridgemont but the business relationship begins to sour as boundaries are crossed and jealously arises.

‘At the same time, Det. Winters and Martinez, now back together again, try desperately to get away and relax together and rekindle the flame but find themselves pulled in once again by our gang of crime-solving bear roomies. All while Nelson and Todd’s dream honeymoon goes helplessly and shockingly awry! Season 5 will feature the usual parade of hot, sexy, hairy men that fans adore, the hilarious comedy everyone expects from the show, and a nail-biting climax which has made the show a worldwide hit!’

The first four seasons have already had over 18 million views, so there are plenty of people out there who would like to see more! Gay Short Film Showcase: LoveSwiped – Ten men, ten dates, one dating app

March 7, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

loveswiped-slideAs anyone who’s ever been on Grindr will know, ‘dating’ apps can be a complicated world, where for everyone looking for ‘no-strings fun’, there’s another who’s already decided you’re their soulmate before you’ve even met face-to-face. Then there are the people who organise dates but never show up, the guys who even on their first message seem to think you should be grateful they would deign to speak to you, and of course the married guys who are on the downlow.

The short film LoveSwiped takes a looking at the complications of dating apps, with a man who’s just broken up with his boyfriend trying to get back into the game. The 10-minute film takes us through 10 dates with guys he meets via a dating app, where he quickly discovers that not every person you meet is going to be a good – or even passable – match.

Director Carl Loughlin recently told Attitude, “I am a young gay man, who has recently got messily divorced, after 6 years in a civil partnership and 10 years together.”

“In my hunt for new love I have discovered the lonely world of gay dating is a horrific place, and while I was bored in work I started recording my dates and writing my disastrous dates out as film scenes. Before I knew it I had written a 10 minute short film, that I called LoveSwiped. It was filmed by Dreamscope TV in Media City, Manchester.”

So yep, it’s all based on the truth! Take a look at the film below.
