Following Alice In Wonderland and Maleficent Disney is making big bets on taking more of its classic animated movies live-action. Now it’s looking to one of its older live-action properties with plans to give it an update and a twist – Swiss Family Robinson.
THR reports that Steve Carell is set to star in the movie, which will be penned by Finding Nemo co-writer David Reynolds.
Plot details are described as being ‘vague in order to protect the project’s secrets, but it is known that Brooklyn Family Robinson centers on the patriarch of a family, to be played by Carell, who relocates his family from city life to island life.’
There’s no news on when we might get to see the movie.
