Today’s the day we get to find out which films are going to be in the running for the Oscars, with the Academy Of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences set to announce the nominations for the big awards. They’ll be revealing them at the ungodly hour of 5.30am Los Angeles time (that’s so it’s in time for the morning newscasts on the East Coast, where it’ll be 8.30am), but thankfully it means if you’re in Europe you get them at the far more reasonable time. And if you want to, you can watch the nomination live right here!
Is The Artist going to get the most nominations (as expected)? Will Christopher Plummer be nominated for playing gay in Beginners? How about Glenn Close’ woman living as a man in Albert Nobbs? Is The Hangover Part 2 going to sweep the board (umm, no)? We’ll know a lot more after 1.30pm, so watch the nominations live.
