There weren’t quite as many Super Bowl movie ads this year as normal, but one that did get one was Act Of Valor. You’d have thought the US military would have too much on it plate to let some of its active duty Navy SEALs to go off and make a movie, but perhaps it’s good PR, and it’s certainly a great hook for Act Of Valor, which sells itself on its cast of geunine Navy SEALs and the fact the movie features real tactics and weapons handled by people trained to use them. The plot is about a group of SEALs going to save a kidnapped CIA operative. It’s a bit early to say whether they movie itself is any good, but it’s an interesting idea and the trailer’s better than you might expect for what is essentially a bit of a gimmicky movie. No UK release is currently set.
