It’s just under six weeks until this year’s Iris Prize, the world’s biggest LGBT short film festival, kicks off in Cardiff. Recently we covered the announcement of the 31 films that will be competing this year. Just reading through the list of shorts suggests a fascinatingly eclectic selection, covering everything from a young boy’s waiting for his body hair to grow to a film based on a true story about someone who has a one night stand with a serial killer.
Now the guys behind the festival have put together a montage of clips from the competing films, which gives us an even better taste of what’ll be on offer in Cardiff from October 10th-14th. It really does look like there’ll be a lot of good stuff to see and tough competition for the final award, with the winner getting a prize valued at £25,000, including help and funding to get a new short made.
You can find out more about the Iris Prize on the official website.
