Chloe Moretz is certainly one of the busiest teen actresses around, and now she’s in discussions to star in Dark Places, according to Deadline. The news comes a few weeks after Charlize Theron replaced Amy Adams in this adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s novel.
The movie is about a woman called Libby (Charlize ) who, 25 years ago, survived the brutal massacre of her entire family in what appeared to be a Satanic cult ritual, and then testified in court that her brother was the killer. However she is forced to reopen old wounds when a secret organisation known as The Kill Club look into the case and begin to believe that the brother is actually innocent. Libby stars to investigate too and uncovers some new suspects. Chloe Moretz will portray Diondra, who knows Libby’s brother, Ben.
Gilles Paquet-Brenner is directing from his own adapted screenplay. Chloe Moretz will next be seen in the superhero sequel Kick-Ass 2 and the horror remake Carrie.
