Viola Davis scored a big hit with The Help, but we haven’t seen too much of her since then, especially as her recent movie, Beautiful Creatures, bombed at the box office. Later this year we’ll see her in The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby, Ender’s Game and Prisoners. Now she’s lined up another film, as Deadline reports that she’s set to star in Michael Mann’s currently untitled new thriller.
The film starts shooting in China next month, with Chris Hemsworth set for the lead role. Unfortunately not much is known about the story, except that it is set in the world of cyber threats and attacks, with American and Chinese forces working together to prevent hacking.
It’ll be Mann’s first movie since 2009’s Public Enemies, but sees him returning to the thriller genre he made his name with. It should hit cinemas sometime in 2014.
