Andrew Garfield is currently shooting The Amazing Spider-man 2 and Sony is already planning parts 3 & 4, but the young actor is hoping to slot in some other movies between those films. One of whose should be 99 Homes for writer-director Ramin Bahrani (Man Push Cart), according to THR.
The film is about a young father (Garfield) who loses his home due to a foreclosure. Desperate for work, he takes a job with the greedy real estate broker who took away his house, helping him evict other homeowners and embezzling money from the government. Although this helps with his difficult financial situation, the man becomes becomes increasingly morally conflicted about his new job.
Ramin Bahrani is directing from his own screenplay. The producers are now looking for someone to plat that broker. It’s not clear when it will shoot.
