The future isn’t going to be good for mutants – at least it won’t the if ones from the past can’t stop the rise of the sentinels! X-Men: Days Of Future Past revolves around that concept, showing us a near-future where all the mutants have been rounded up and put in concentration camps, with robots known as Sentinels controlling the ‘mutant threat’.
Now we’ve got our first look at those Sentinels thanks to images that have emerged of a robotic head that’s on display at Comic-Con, as well as some propaganda posters from Trask Industries, the company that builds the bots.
The film will see the X-Men of the past having to stop the events that make the Sentinels a reality. That sees them running up against Peter Dinklage’s Bolivar Trask, who runs Trask Industries.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past is currently in production and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman. It’ll be out May 2013.
